At CEDIA last month, Epson will show off its new Pro Cinema LS10500 3LCD Reflective projector, a follow-up to the company’s popular and acclaimed LS10000. In most ways it is the same as it’s predecessor. The LS10500 is a $7999 list price projector sold through the Epson’s authorized installing dealers in the US. This model adds additional 4K support.
The LS10500 Home Theater projector delivers 1500 lumens of the color brightness, 1500 lumens of white brightness, features an Absolute Black contrast ratio and an advanced suite of the ISF calibration tools. It has locable memory modes to ensure accurate performance.
In addition, this new projector supports HDR and is capable of playing 4K UHD content through Epson’s 4K Enhancement tech. This feature allows the 1080p projector to shift each pixel diagonally by 0.5 pixels to double the resolution and surpass Full HD picture quality (resolution remains 1920 x 1080 in 3D Mode)
The LS10500 supports lens memory for those of us who just prefer to use wide ‘Cinemascope’ type screens with the correct aspect ratio for most movies.
The new LS10500 has lifespan of up to 30,000 hours. It makes use of Epson’s advanced projection tech that enables wide range of lens shifting capabilities. It also has range of up to 90% on the vertical axis and ± 40 on the horizontal axis.
The Epson Pro Cinema LS10500 is priced at MSRP $7999. It’ll be available this fall through CEDIA and specialty dealers. It comes with 3 years limited warrant and access to the Epson’s tall-free PrivateLine priority technical support and free 2 day business exchange with Extra Care home service.
