One of the most highly anticipated new Android phones of 2017 is LG’s G6, especially considering that it will not be a modular device, unlike its predecessor. This phone is expected to make its debut at MWC in late February, and launch in March. And the fact that LG has already started teasing the upcoming flagship is one more indication that an announcement is imminent.
In LG’s teaser video, we see several people in America speaking to camera to say what features they’d most want out of the ‘ideal smartphone’. Features asked for include a big screen for multitasking, all while just having a small body to make it easy to use with one hand. The people in video also ask for the phone to be waterproof and more reliable so they don’t have to worry about the screen cracking all the time. All those features then move into a phone-shaped box, followed by the text ‘Imagine how your wishes will come to life’.
But before that, LG offers the image above, that lists certain smartphone features that we might see in the LG G6, including a big screen, smaller body, waterproof design, ‘capture all at once’ (camera?), and reliability — whatever that means.
LG Display a few days ago announced a brand new type of smartphone display, one that isn’t available on any other smartphone, and said it will equip its next flagship handset. That is a 5.7-inch LCD screen featuring 2,880 by 1,440 resolution.
We’ve heard a few rumors about the upcoming G6 smartphone, which could have:
- An 5.7-inch QHD display
- An 18×9 aspect ratio
- No modular design
We’ll have to wait until its February reveal to see exactly how LG will implement these features, but we now have a clearer idea of what to expect next month.
