ZTE sub-brand Nubia has recently expanded its Z series with two new latest smartphones, touted as the Nubia Z17S and Nubia Z17 miniS. The Nubia Z17S smartphone is the company’s flagship phone that comes with high-end specs and features. While on the other hand, the Nubia Z17 miniS is a mid-range smartphone and packs decent hardware. The main highlight of both smartphones is; they come with four cameras meaning two cameras at the back and two at the front of the device.
The high-end smartphone features a 5.73 inches LTPS TFT capacitive touchscreen display that carries the support for 1080 × 2040 pixels resolution as well as it is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass on both sides of the device. The phone runs on the seventh generation Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with the company’s own Nubia UI 5.1 layer.
On the software front, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 64GB or 128GB of built-in storage capacity that can be further expanded with the help of MicroSD card up to 256GB.
As far as the camera is concerned, the smartphone sports a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensor coupled with another 23-megapixel Sony IMX318 sensor offering up to 2x optical zoom and dual-tone LED flash. While on the front, there is also a dual camera setup featuring two 5 megapixel sensors with the f/2.2 aperture for capturing selfies and making video calls.
To power the device, there is a 3,100 mAh battery buried inside the phone that will provide you enough juice as well as it also supports fast battery charging technology. The smartphone also comes with a built-in fingerprint sensor for added security, which is placed at the back of the device. In terms of price, the 6GB RAM with 64GB model priced at CNY 2,999, while the largest memory and storage model retails for CNY 3,999.
Nubia Z17 miniS
The mid-range smartphone sports a 5.2 inches Full HD touchscreen display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 that prevents it from being damaged. It runs on the Nubia UI 5.0 based on Android 7.1 Nougat and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 octa core processor.
Regarding the storage, the phone is equipped with a 6GB of RAM along with 64GB of built-in storage that can be further expanded by using a MicroSD card. In terms of optics, the phone sports a dual 13 megapixel rear camera and on the front, there is a 16MP + 5MP front shooter. The phone houses a 3,200 mAh battery and retails for CNY 1,999. There is also a fingerprint recognition that embedded in Home button of the device.
