MSI launched its new X99A Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard and they claimed that it has the world’s first front USB 3.1 Type-C header. While any upcoming Broadwell-E should be supported by older existing X99 motherboards, PC component makers like to take such opportunities to modernize and revamp their wares, and perhaps one-up their rivals.
The X99A GAMING PRO CARBON supports the latest Intel Core i7 Processor Extreme Edition and is the first X99 model from MSI that provides Game Boost, which offers 8 gears of up to 5GHz of one-second overclocking. In addition to those features, the X99A GAMING PRO CARBON has another items MSI has become known for. Mystic Light RGB LED supports up to 16.8 million colors and seventeen LED effects to personalize your rig. Plus, you can now control Mystic Light features by Wi-Fi using your smartphone or use the Mystic Light Extension dedicated pin header for four-pin RGB strip and lighting control.
On the lighting front, MSI’s new motherboard supports up to 16.8 million colors and provides 17 LED effects to dazzle your friends. The new board also includes a dedicated pin header so that system builders can extend this lighting sys to other components by way of a 4-pin RGB strip and a lighting controller. The Mystic Light app for controlling this lighting sys will soon be offered for the PC, tablet, and smartphone.
DDR4 Boost and DDR4 Steel Armor help boost memory performance. Another Audio Boost 3 and a selection of the amazing audio components provide studio-grade sound, while Nahimic software provides benefits such as voice leveler, virtual sound, bass boost, noise gate and reduction, and HD audio recorder.
