Grahan Web series Review in Hindi: Disney Plus Hotstar’s new web series Grahan has been released. The story of this webseries is woven around the 1984 Sikh riots in Bokaro. The trailer of this webseries was released in the same month and since then the audience was curious about it. The main reason for the curiosity about the eclipse among the people of the Hindi speaking region was that the story was inspired by a popular novel. This webseries by director Ranjan Chandel is inspired from the book Chaurasi by Hindi writer Satya Vyas.

When a film or webseries is made on a book, it is interesting to see how much and where the story has changed from the page to the screen. Innumerable changes have been made in this story made from Chaurasi Se Grahan and perhaps this is the reason why this eclipse is said to be inspired by Chaurasi and not based. After reading the book, those watching this story on screen will understand how different the screen is from page to page.
Adorned with artists like Rishi turned Anshuman Pushkar, Pawan Malhotra, Manu turned Vamika Gabbi, Sahidur Rahman, Tikam Joshi, this webseries is full of adventure. Boxing actress Zoya Hussain has played an important role in the eclipse. The story of the novel had the story of Manu and Rishi’s love in the backdrop of 1984’s Bokaro city and the massacre of Sikhs in that city and the special thing is that the soul of the story on the screen itself is this love story. However, scenes of politics, suspense and thrill have been inserted while converting the story into the script. This eight-episode story does not bore, but it is definitely seen to be stretched somewhere. Somewhere the long scenes start getting restless.
Ranchi SP Amrita Singh gets the responsibility of investigating the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in Bokaro. When Amrita gets involved in the investigation, she learns that these riots were led by a man named Rishi Ranjan. Rishi Ranjan has now changed his name. Amrita learns that Rishi Ranjan is none other than Gursewak Singh as her father. There is an investigation by the police and there is politics on it. To know whether the truth of the riots came out, you have to watch the webseries.

What makes this webseries special is its excellent dialogues. “The attacker is a rioter, not a Hindu or a Muslim.”, “Nothing changes in politics, it gets postponed and history repeats itself after seeing the atmosphere.”, “Politics does not run in one’s way, it has its own way “We often see things in the world in black and white, but the truth is the color in between.” The dialogues like that are superb.
