Barbados: Australia’s limited overs captain Aaron Finch has been ruled out of the remainder of the tour against the West Indies and the upcoming series against Bangladesh. Finch was injured during the T20I series against the Windies, after which he has been off the field.

Given the priority of the ICC T20 World Cup to be held in October-November, Finch will return home and may undergo surgery after completing the 14-day quarantine period.

Finch said, ‘I’m sorry to return home. That would be better than going to Bangladesh because I won’t be able to play there. I can have surgery if needed, after which recovery has to start in view of the World Cup.
