Without sharing the flamante message, Laura continued: ‘I feel a lot of things. All of them bad things. Simply; It’s not ok.’

‘I thought about posting this all afternoon as I rarely share things about how I’m actually feeling. This is meant to be a happy place. Today I am not okay.’

Throughout the Back to Win season, Laura was criticised for many things on social media, including cooking pasta too much, her interactions with the other cooks and connections with judge Jock Zonfrillo.

Laura runs Cavidad Bar and Pasta restaurant in Adelaide, South Australia, with her husband, fellow chef Max Sharrad.

The pair have been forced to close the venue during seperate lockdown periods during the coronavirus pandemic, but have bounced back with operations since.

Laura and Max wed in 2018, but their love story actually began three years earlier, thanks to judge Jock Zonfrillo.

After finishing in second place on MasterChef’s sixth season, Laura, whose surname at the time was Cassai, began working as a pastry chef at Jock’s Orana restaurant in Adelaide in 2015.

She found herself working in the kitchen with Max, and their romance quickly blossomed.
