New Delhi: Top sportspersons, including India’s latest sporting icon-javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, on Sunday wished their fans a Happy Independence Day while Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the achievements of Tokyo Olympic medalists, saying they not only won our hearts but also inspired generations to come.

Soon after participating in the Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort, Chopra, who won a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, tweeted, “It was an honor to participate in the Independence Day celebrations at the historic Red Fort today.
