Gold/Silver Rate Today 05 August 2021 : On Thursday, gold fell by Rs 312 to close at Rs 46,907 per 10 grams in the Delhi bullion market. On Wednesday, it was Rs 47,219 per 10 grams. At the same time, the price of silver also fell by Rs 1,037 to Rs 66,128 per kg. The previous day it closed at Rs 67,165 per kg. The futures prices of both have also declined. On the other hand, gold fell to USD 1,810 an ounce in the international market, while silver remained almost unchanged at USD 25.37 an ounce.

Gold futures prices fall

Gold prices on Thursday fell by Rs 85 to Rs 47,807 per 10 grams in the local futures market as speculators reduced their positions on weak spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in October fell by Rs 85, or 0.18%, to Rs 47,807 per 10 grams. It had a turnover of 12,510 lots. Market experts said offloading of positions by traders mainly led to the fall in gold futures prices. Internationally, gold prices fell 0.18% to $1,811.20 an ounce in New York.

Silver futures also declined

Silver prices on Thursday fell by Rs 248 to Rs 67,353 per kg in futures trade as participants reduced their positions on weak spot demand. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver futures for delivery in September fell by Rs 248, or 0.37%, to Rs 67,353 per kg. The futures contact was traded for 8,842 lots. On a margin level, silver fell 0.36 per cent to USD 25.37 an ounce in New York.
