The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 started in India in April. But the tournament was postponed on May 4 due to the corona virus epidemic. Now the second leg of the league is to be played from September 19, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Before the start of the tournament, the BCCI has issued health and safety protocols so that the bio-bubble does not break. Players and staff have to strictly follow the rules. Let us tell you that despite the strong bio-bubble in the first phase, many players and staff members got corona infected.

What happens if a player is infected?

What if a player or a member of the support staff becomes a victim of corona even after following the safety protocol? According to the BCCI guidelines, players and support staff will have to remain isolated for at least ten days after being found corona infected during the IPL. This will be followed by two Tests on the ninth and tenth day. At the same time, in order to re-enter the bio-bubble, it is necessary to come back negative for two RT-PCR test reports in 24 hours. Also, the infected person should not have any symptoms and it should be more than 24 hours even after the medicines are stopped.

There will be a repeat test if it is false positive.

Apart from this, the test will be done again when the false positive test comes. If the player or staff member is found to be false positive due to chronic infection, then RT-PCR test will be done again along with serology. Let us tell you that in the second phase, BCCI is making every effort to ensure that no corona positive case comes to the fore. That is why, this time it has been decided to make a total of 14 bio-secure bubbles. There will be 8 bubble teams, 3 matches for officials and the remaining three for broadcasters and commentators. The final of the Liga will be played on October 15 in Dubai.
