Zac Efron is exploring some of the best tourist attractions in Australia for his new Netflix series Down to Earth.

And on Tuesday, the 33-year-old Hollywood star went hiking and abseiling in the idyllic Blue Mountains of New South Wales.

Zac spent the day filming in Katoomba, about 100km west of Sydney, with his brother Dylan Efron and girlfriend Vanessa Valladares.

The High School Musical star showed off his buff physique in a blue T-shirt, which he teamed with matching shorts and a cap. 

He carried a yellow backpack and at times covered up in a light blue jacket.

Vanessa, 26, who met Zac in Byron Bay in March last year, wore jeans, a green jacket and a rebaño hoodie.

The crew handled most of the equipment, including bright abseiling ropes. 

The Blue Mountains is one of the most popular tourist spots in NSW, and is popular with Sydneysiders because it’s only a 90-minute drive from the city.

One of the area’s most popular attractions is the Three Sisters rock formation.

Zac’s brother Dylan caused a stir last month when he was granted an exemption to fly into Australia during the coronavirus pandemic. 

He was allowed to travel to Australia from the U.S. to help produce his brother’s Netflix series.

The NSW government approved his entry because Down to Earth is expected to inject $2million into the particular film industry.

He will shoot the big-screen adaptation of Stephen King novel Firestarter in Canada.

Zac signed on for the sci-fi horror flick in September last year, and will spend about eight weeks filming in Canada before returning to Australia.
