Gold/Silver Rate Today 22 June 2021 : The price of gold increased while the price of silver declined. According to HDFC Securities, gold rose by Rs 45 to Rs 46213 per 10 grams in the national capital on Tuesday. The precious metal had closed at Rs 46,168 per 10 grams on the previous trading day. On the other hand, silver fell by Rs 86 to Rs 66,389 per kg. Whereas on the last trading day it closed at Rs 66,475 per kg. However, the futures prices of both have declined. On the other hand, gold was marginally lower at USD 1,778 an ounce and silver was flat at USD 25.84 an ounce in the international market.
However, according to the website of India Bullion and Jewelers Association (ibjarates.com), the price of gold increased by Rs 151. While the price of silver increased by Rs 276. Fall in gold futures prices
Gold prices on Tuesday fell by Rs 94 to Rs 46,980 per 10 grams in the local futures market as speculators reduced their positions amid weak spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in August fell by Rs 94, or 0.2%, to Rs 46,980 per 10 grams. It had a turnover of 10,734 lots. Market experts attributed the fall in gold prices to traders cutting their positions. Internationally, gold fell 0.18% to $1,779.70 an ounce in New York.
Silver futures fall in prices
Silver prices on Tuesday fell by Rs 247 to Rs 67,515 per kg in futures trade as participants reduced their positions amid weak demand at the spot market. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver futures contract for delivery in July fell by Rs 247, or 0.36%, to Rs 67,515 per kg. The futures contract was traded for 9,895 lots. Internationally, silver fell by 0.42% to USD 25.92 an ounce in New York.
