However, its makers and host Aditya Narayan want to stay away from negativity and focus on the task ahead. The singing reality show first came into the limelight when Amit Kumar claimed that the team of Indian Idol 12 asked him to praise the contestants of the show irrespective of the quality of the singing. Recently, music composer Salim Merchant also spoke about how a similar request was made to him as he had participated in several reality shows over the years.

Aditya Narayan said, ‘Whatever colleagues and friends are talking positively about the contestants of Indian Idol, I assure them that as long as I am hosting Indian Idol, anyone here should appreciate anyone for it. No need to do. Jo ho woh raho bano, say whatever you want to say, come to our show and bless us. I only say this for myself. I cannot speak for other seasons as the team/production was completely different.

Aditya Narayan told that he is not impressed by the allegations of false judgment in the show. “Our producers Sony, Fremantle and TCT are thrilled with the love and success of the current season along with the entire team. It is the most watched reality show in the last decade. We want to focus on the show and not think about the negativity instead.
