Mumbai: The grand finale of Indian Idol 12 took place on 15 August. It has been a 12 hour long episode with the performances of the top 6 contestants along with special guests like Javed Ali, Mika Singh and Sukhwinder Singh. The six finalists were Pawandeep Rajan, Nihal Tauro, Arunita Kanjilal, Shanmukhpriya, Sayli Kamble and Mohd Danish and finally Pawandeep Rajan has won the season.

Host Aditya Narayan announced the winner of Indian Idol 12, 2021 amidst a long 12-hour grand finale and many stalwarts in attendance. Apart from this, Arunita Kanjilal came second, Sayli Kamble third, while Mohammad Danish, Nihal Tauro and Shanmukhpriya finished fourth, fifth and sixth.

By winning the season 12 of Indian Idol, Pavandeep Rajan not only won the singing reality show trophy but was also given a prize money of 25 lakhs as well as a glittering Maruti Swift car. As soon as Pawandeep’s name was announced, the eyes of his parents and family members present on the spot were filled with tears.

The grand finale of Indian Idol was attended by many music stalwarts like Sukhwinder Singh, Mika Singh, Amit Mishra, Kumar Sanu, Javed Ali, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan who enthralled the audience with their melodious performances.
