RBI Alert beware of fake offers of purchase and sale of old notes and coins

Online and offline betting is being done openly regarding the purchase and sale of old notes and coins. Common people are falling prey to fraud by falling prey to fraudsters. The country’s central bank RBI has alerted the people about this. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Wednesday warned the public not to fall prey to fraudulent offers to buy or sell old notes and coins.
This advisory comes in view of the exposure of certain elements fraudulently by RBI using its name or logo and seeking fee or commission or tax from the public in transactions relating to purchase and sale of old bank notes and coins through various online or offline platforms. I have come
RBI further clarified that it does not deal with such matters and never demands any kind of charge or commission. Further, the Reserve Bank of India has not authorized any entity or firm or person etc. to charge fees or commission on its behalf in such transactions.
RBI further advises people to be cautious and not fall prey to those using the name of RBI to withdraw money through such bogus or fraudulent offers.
