Gold Price Today 18 August 2021: Gold and silver prices fell again. In Delhi bullion market, gold declined by Rs 152 to Rs 46,328 per 10 grams. Earlier, gold had closed at Rs 46,480 per 10 grams on the previous trading day. Similarly, silver also fell by Rs 286 to Rs 62,131 per kg. The previous day it had closed at Rs 62,417 per kg. The futures prices of both have also increased. On the other hand, gold was trading higher at $ 1,787 an ounce and silver was steady at $ 23.74 an ounce in the international market.

Gold futures prices rise

Gold prices on Wednesday rose by Rs 14 to Rs 47,294 per 10 grams in the local futures market as speculators created fresh positions amid strong spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in October rose by Rs 14, or 0.03%, to Rs 47,294 per 10 grams. It traded for 12,217 lots. Market experts said buying in fresh positions by traders led to gains in gold futures prices. Internationally, gold prices rose 0.07% to $1,789 an ounce in New York.

Silver futures prices rise

Silver prices on Wednesday rose by Rs 106 to Rs 63,332 per kg in futures trade as participants widened their positions on firm spot demand. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver futures for delivery in September rose by Rs 106, or 0.17%, to Rs 63,332 per kg. The futures contract was traded for 9,679 lots. Market experts said fresh positions created by traders due to a firm trend in the domestic market, led to the rise in silver futures prices. Internationally, silver traded 0.29% higher at USD 23.78 an ounce in New York.
