Islamabad: The girl of an Afghan ambassador posted in Pakistan has been kidnapped today. However, the girl was released shortly after the abduction. According to the news, Silsila Alikhil, daughter of Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Najibullah Alikhil, was kidnapped and tortured before being released. Afghanistan’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the act and called for increased security of Afghanistan’s diplomatic mission stationed in Pakistan.

In Islamabad, the daughter of the first ambassador was kidnapped and left in critical condition near Tehzeeb Bakery late in the evening. The police is currently investigating the matter and the abductors are yet to be found. Silsila Alikhil was kidnapped near Jinnah Market at 1.30 pm and released at 7 pm. During this, Alikhil was immediately admitted to the hospital where his condition is said to be out of danger.

Afghan Foreign Ministry issued statement

Condemning the incident, the Afghan Foreign Ministry said, “We condemn this heinous crime and demand to ensure the safety of our diplomats, staff and their families posted in the Pakistani mission under international law.” We will put the matter before the Pakistani Foreign Ministry and demand will be taken to take action against the culprits.
