Dilip Kumar Burial in Juhu Qabrastan at Santacruz Mumbai: Veteran actor Dilip Kumar, who left an indelible mark in Indian cinema with his amazing performance, has been handed over. Veteran actor was buried with state honors at Juhu Cemetery in Mumbai. Dilip Kumar passed away on Wednesday morning after prolonged illness. Dilip Kumar, popularly known as ‘Tragedy King’ in the Hindi film world, was 98 years old. He was admitted to Hinduja Hospital located here since last Tuesday.
Dilip Kumar was given a state honor by the Maharashtra government. His mortal remains have been wrapped in the tricolour. A police band was moving in front of his dead body. Dilip Kumar’s nephew Faisal Farooqui has shared the video on social media. After this, his last journey left from his Andheri home and went to Juhu graveyard. Where, he was handed over to him. During this, a long crowd of fans had gathered for his last glimpse.
Saira Banu was inconsolable
When the body of Dilip Kumar was being brought home from the hospital, his wife and actress Saira Banu looked inconsolable. As soon as the news of Dilip Kumar’s death came, his fans started paying tribute on social media. Dilip Kumar’s passing is an irreparable loss not only to the cinema world but to every countryman. On his death, veterans of politics, cinema and sports, including the Prime Minister of the country, Amitabh Bachchan, have paid tribute.
Shahrukh Khan arrived for the last glimpse
The King of Bollywood i.e. Shahrukh Khan reached Dilip Kumar’s house to pay his last respects. Shahrukh Khan shared his grief by sitting with Saira Banu. At the same time, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, his son Aditya Thackeray also reached Dilip Kumar’s house and shared the grief of the family.
Let us tell you that Dilip Kumar, born in Peshawar in 1922, made his Bollywood debut in the year 1944 with the film Jwar Bhata. After this he appeared in films like Andaz, Babul, Deedar, Aan, Daag, Devdas, Azad, Naya Daur, Tarana, Madhumati, Kohinoor, Mughal-e-Azam, Ganga Jamuna, Ram Aur Shyam, Kranti, Shakti, Mashal and Saudagar Appeared.
