Kangana Ranaut has written a long note in her Insta story. Raising the question, Kangana wrote, ‘At one time in most of the families in Punjab it was a custom to make one son a Hindu and the other a Sikh. I did not find similar customs in Hindus and Muslims or Sikhs and Muslims. I am getting more surprised after the divorce of Aamir Khan sir. After all, why children always turn out to be Muslims in an inter-religious marriage.

Kangana Ranaut further writes in her story, ‘Why is it that women are unable to remain Hindu after marriage. With the change of time, we should also change this. This is an old and cruel practice. If Hindus, Jains, Buddhists, Sikhs, Radhasoamis and Atheists can live together in one family, why not Muslims? After all, why does someone have to change their religion to marry a Muslim?’
