Lucknow: A group of youths who lost their friend due to Covid donated three beds and a wheelchair to the Community Health Center (CHC) at Gudamba, a government hospital near the deceased’s home, adding their money. Awadh Dixit, a data analyst with a US-based company died at the young age of 30 as he did not get a hospital bed on time.
He had recently come to Lucknow during the Corona Curfew to see his family, but got infected with Kovid. The pain of his untimely death inspired his friends to do something for the healthcare sector.
One of his photographer friend Anshul Mehrotra said, “Awadh’s condition was deteriorating and he could not get a bed in the hospital. By the time he was admitted to the hospital in Indiranagar, his condition had deteriorated and he died on April 24. happened.”
Dixit’s friends sent him medicine but could not save him
Mehrotra said, “Awadh was my closest friend. We were like brothers, sharing every single memory from childhood. This small donation from our side will ease the pain of not seeing our friend in his last days. Can do.” Another friend Aditya Anand said, “Our donation is not huge but like us, everyone can take small steps to strengthen our health system. Before the third wave, people need to be able to support our health infrastructure. You should try your best.”
