Chaman’s assistant commissioner Arif Kakar confirmed to the media that the ‘Maitri Dwar’ road on the Chaman border with Afghanistan has been closed.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid tweeted a video purportedly of Taliban fighters in the southeastern city of Spin Boldak. At the same time, people of the Pakistani city of Chaman, adjacent to the border with Afghanistan, also saw Taliban flags waved across the border and vehicles of Taliban fighters were also seen.
