England fast bowler Stuart Broad (Stuart Broad) Due to injury, he has been ruled out of the remainder of the five-match Test series against India. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) issued a statement on Wednesday, saying, “Fast bowler Broad has suffered a right calf injury due to which he has been ruled out of the Test series against India. He underwent an MRI scan in London on Wednesday. in which the tier has come to the fore.”
The 35-year-old bowler, who has taken 524 wickets in 149 Tests, was injured during practice at Lord’s on Tuesday. England have already called in fast bowler Saqib Mahmood as cover for Broad. Apart from Broad, there is also doubt on the availability of James Anderson. Anderson, who became the third highest wicket-taker in Test cricket during the first Test, missed the training season on Wednesday morning due to a Thai strain.
Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer are not already playing fast bowling in the England team. Apart from this, Chris Woakes has also not been able to recover from the injury and Olly Stone is also out of the whole season due to injury.
On the other hand, Team India also suffered a setback just before the Lord’s Test when all-rounder Shardul Thakur was ruled out of the second Test due to hamstring injury. However, he can make a comeback in the third Test.
