Kabul : Since the rise of Taliban in Afghanistan and the occupation of Kabul, where President Ashraf Ghani left the country and took refuge in the UAE, his brothers have joined the same Taliban and have also promised support to it. A video has surfaced, which shows the meeting of Ashraf Ghani’s brother with top Taliban commanders. Everyone is shocked by the meeting of Ashraf Ghani’s brother with Taliban leaders and his promise of support.
According to reports, Ashraf Ghani’s brother Hashmat Ghani Ahmedzai expressed support for the Taliban on Saturday. Hashmat Ghani, chief of the Grand Council of Kuchis, declared his loyalty to the Taliban in the presence of Taliban leader Khalil-ur-Rahman and religious scholar Mufti Mahmood Zakir. In a tweet, it has been said that Ashraf Ghani’s brother will also meet Alhaj Khalil-ur-Rehman Haqqani.
It is worth mentioning here that with the capture of Kabul by the Taliban, Ashraf Ghani fled the country. For this, he had to face severe criticism from the US including Afghan citizens. He later told through a Facebook post and then a video message that he took this step to save Afghanistan from bloodshed. It was later confirmed that he took political asylum with his family in the UAE.
