According to the news, the head of the Gaudhan Samiti of the village lodged a complaint with the police in this regard on June 15 and told that the thieves had stolen more than 800 kg of cow dung from the village. He demanded the police to take swift action in the matter and demanded the arrest of the thieves. The police have started their investigation by registering a case against unknown people in the case.

cow dung is bought for two rupees a kg
In fact, Chhattisgarh is such a state in the country where cow dung is bought at the rate of two rupees per kg under the Godhan Nyay Yojana. The Bhupesh Baghel government of the state had started this scheme in July 2020, under which cow dung is purchased from the villagers at the rate of Rs 2 per kg. This scheme had made a lot of headlines and its direct benefit is being given to the cattle farmers living in the village.
