From Bharatnatyam to Chhau, Google made this special Doodle on the 75th year of India’s independence. 
New Delhi : On the country’s 75th Independence Day, Internet search engine Google has dedicated its doodle to the country’s diverse dance styles and traditions, and through this it has tried to present a vibrant picture of the nation along with giving the message of unity in diversity of India.
In the doodle, artists dressed in colorful costumes are seen dancing from Bharatnatyam to Purulia Chhau. According to information shared by Google on its website, the doodle has been created by Kolkata-based artist Sanya Mukherjee, which “shows the celebration of India’s Independence Day and its cultural traditions”.
Unique doodle in dance style
The doodle depicts a stage in which six performers are in different dance postures and live figures are seen behind them. On the far left is a performer doing Bharatanatyam and the Google letter ‘G’ is made from her posture and dress, followed by a performer wearing the Bihu dance costume and holding the traditional Assam cap ‘Japi’ Which is making the letter ‘O’ of Google.
A Bhangra artist from Punjab is playing the dhol and the letter ‘O’ has been made from it, and in the same way the rest of the artists have also made the letters of Google. Google said, “India is home to one-sixth of the global population and is identified by thousands of different languages and ethnic groups living in it.” Indians in the 29 states of the subcontinent celebrate their independence and diverse cultures through traditional dances, etc., which vary according to their regional traditions.’
