Mexico City : Who will not be surprised by the incident of fire in the sea? One such incident has come to light in the Gulf near Mexico, which has shocked the people. Its video has surfaced, in which the rising flames of fire can be seen on the surface of the sea. Due to its round shape, people have also given it the name ‘Eye of Fire’. It is being told that the incident took place due to gas leak in the underwater pipeline.
The incident occurred in a maritime zone off the west coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. The fire was doused in the early hours of Friday, but the incident was caught on camera. In the video, the flames of Lag rising on the surface of the sea can be seen. The reason for this incident is said to be an incident of gas in the underwater pipeline. According to Mexican oil company Pemex, the fire was brought under control after five hours.

The underwater pipeline in which the fire is believed to have started connects to Pemex’s flagship Ku Maalub Jaap oil platform. The Ku Malub Jaap oil platform is located just above the southern rim of the Gulf of Mexico. According to Pemex, no casualties were reported in the incident, nor did it affect production from the project.
The incident of gas leak in the underwater pipeline occurred at around 5:15 am local time, which was brought under control by 10:30 am. The company has said that the gas leak in the pipeline and the cause of the fire will be investigated.
