Hungama 2 Review in Hindi: The much awaited film Hungama 2 has been released on Disney Plus Hotstar. Shilpa Shetty’s return to films after 14 years from this film. Shilpa Shetty appeared on the big screen in 2007 in the films ‘Life in Metro’ and ‘Apne’. Shilpa Shetty is in discussion these days due to the exploits of her husband. The day the film was released, Shilpa was also questioned by the Crime Branch for six hours in the evening.
Although the audience was waiting for this film for a long time. Work on this film started in January 2020. The makers had also fixed the release date of 14 August 2020 but due to Corona virus, the film could not be released on time. Shooting resumed in mid-September last year and the shooting was completed on February 1, 2021. Apart from Shilpa Shetty, stars like Paresh Rawal, Pranitha Subhash, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tiku Talsania, Meezaan Jaffrey, Ashutosh Rana, Akshay Khanna have been seen in the film.
This film is not only a comeback film for Shilpa Shetty, but also a comeback for director Priyadarshan. Priyadarshan’s earlier Bollywood film Rangrej came in 2013 in Hindi. The trailer of this film was released some time back and seeing it, it seemed as if this film would bring a great dose of comedy. However, when you watch the film, you will know that it is a light-hearted comedy which could not create a ruckus.
Hungama 2 Trailer Watch Video:
The story of this film begins with Ashutosh Rana, father of Chirag Akash (Meezaan Jaffrey) of the Kapoor family, who is very upset with him. Akash’s house is falling apart but he doesn’t mind. Vaani (Pranita Subhash) comes to their house with a small child and says that the child’s father is Akash. Akash refuses but admits that the two were together in college and had an affair. On the other hand, lawyer Radhe (Paresh Rawal) is elderly and his wife Anjali (Shilpa Shetty) is beautiful and young.
Anjali and Akash become friends. Hearing the words of both, Radhe starts doubting the wife. Radhe thinks that his wife Anjali is pregnant from Akash. He spies on her, plans Akash’s murder. An attempt has been made to tickle the audience through these points. Deviations are clearly visible in the story of the film. It would have been better if Hungama 2 was edited with a little tightness.
The film remains dull from the beginning. The story of big houses and big people will be seen. However, even after all this, if we talk about the artists, then Shilpa Shetty has shown her full glory. She looks very beautiful on the screen, while Paresh Rawal’s presence is no less. Ashutosh Rana looked perfect in the role of Hero’s father. Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav and Akshaye Khanna have been amazing.
The hit song ‘Chura Ke Dil Mera’ from the early days of Shilpa’s career has been recreated in this film. In the film, she will be seen dancing to the same song with Meezaan Jaffrey. There will be two more songs in this film. All three songs are penned by lyricist Sameer, sung by Benny Dayal, Anmol Malik, Neeti Mohan, Naksh Aziz and Mika Singh. However, the magic of Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik in the voices of Benny Dayal and Anmol Malik was not seen in the recreation of the song from the movie Main Khiladi Tu Anari. Overall Hungama 2 is an average film which could have been made better.
