United Nations : India has told the United Nations that it has been a victim of terrorism especially from across the border for the past several decades and there are some countries which are “blatantly guilty” of supporting terrorist activities and harboring terrorists. India may not have said clearly, but it was pointing towards Pakistan.
India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador TS Tirumurti said during the Second Counter-Terrorism Week at a high-level online event titled ‘Tackling the Financing of Terrorism in the Post-COVID-19 Scenario’: It is important to stop the access of terrorists to economic resources.

Tirumurti said on Friday, “India has been a victim of terrorism for the past several decades. He has been a victim of terrorism especially from across the border. He said that there are some countries which lack the necessary capabilities and legal-operational frameworks to prevent funding of terrorism, while “there are other countries which support terrorism and willingly provide economic support and shelter to terrorists”. Clearly guilty of giving.
“We must enhance the capabilities of disabled countries, while the international community must collectively name and hold the culprits unequivocally,” he said. These comments seem to be clearly pointing towards Pakistan.
Tirumurti stressed the need for international cooperation against terrorism financing, strengthening the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and providing more funding to the UN counter-terrorism framework. India organized the event in association with the Permanent Mission of France, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the United Nations Office on Counter-Terrorism and the Executive Directorate of the Security Council’s Counter-Terrorism Committee.
