New Delhi: Despite a decline in popularity ratings during the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in May, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is outperforming other global leaders, according to a survey conducted by American data intelligence firm Morning Consult. Huh. Only three world leaders have an approval rating above 60, with PM Modi at the top.

According to data from Morning Consulting Political Intelligence, PM Modi’s approval rating is currently 66 percent. PM Modi is followed by Italy’s PM Mario Draghi’s approval rating at 65 percent and Mexico’s President Lopez Obrador at 63 percent.

The improvement in the approval rating of PM Modi can be attributed to his speech on 7 June in which he made many big announcements.

Addressing the nation, the PM said that the Center will procure 75 per cent of the COVID-19 vaccine doses from manufacturers and supply them to the state governments.

The PM also announced that the vaccine would be provided free of cost to all adults above the age of 18 years.

In order to control profiteering by private hospitals, the PM capped the service charges to Rs.
