Noida: Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority is planning to provide Personal Rapid Transit (POD) taxi service between Noida Airport and Film City. According to the report, the pod taxi will start from Film City Sector 21 and go through Sector 28, 29, 30, 32 and 33 till Noida airport.

He told that the distance of Film City from Noida airport is 6.5 kilometers. The airport is the next stop directly after Film City on the proposed Metro route from Greater Noida to Noida Airport.

He said that due to the film city, the surrounding area would also develop as a tourist center, which would increase the tourist traffic.

In view of this, it has been decided to run pod taxis connecting the sectors of YIDA with Film City. Singh informed that the pod taxi service will be provided in an area of ​​14.5 km and the target is to start by 2025.

The project report has projected 8,000 people to travel daily from day one. It will take 15 minutes to cover this 14.5 km journey. He said that the pod taxi will run at a speed of 100 kmph and four to six passengers will be able to sit in a taxi.
