Moscow : Russia, which has overtaken America in the matter of sending the first human to space, is now trying to win once again. Russia is planning to shoot the first film in space and if it succeeds, then this record will be in its name. Although such an announcement was made by the US earlier, but Russia seems to be winning in the first place to start shooting.
What is Russia’s plan?
Russian actress Yulia Peresild (36) recently revealed that a team of Russian filmmakers plans to shoot a film on the International Space Station (ISS) before the Americans, which will be directed by Klim Shipenko (38). Talking to AFP news agency, she also said that she not only wants to do it first, but also wants to do it in the best way.
The cast and crew of the team, who shot the first film at the International Space Station, are planned to be flown to Kazakhstan by the Baikonur Cosmodrome spacecraft. The project, named ‘The Call’, was announced in September last year, while a few months before that, ‘Mission Impossible’ star Tom Cruise and Hollywood director Dof Lyman had collaborated with US space agency NASA and Elon Musk’s Space X. The same project was announced, in which information was given about the film being shot in space for the first time.
In May 2020, NASA announced to shoot a film in space for the first time with Tom Cruise. But after announcing to shoot the film in space after about four months, Russia seems to be moving ahead in it. Although all the information related to the project named ‘The Call’ which Russia has announced for the first time shooting in space, is being kept hidden, but sources related to it say that this project is based on such a story. , in which a doctor is immediately sent to the ISS to rescue the astronauts.
The cost of a single human being in space is enormous, and while the film’s cast and crew members will also have to be taken to the space station, its budget will naturally be beyond expectations.
The actress started training
In preparation for the film, actress Yulia Peresild is also reported to have begun intensive astronaut training at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City, outside Moscow. From the director of the film to the cameraman, all the crew members associated with this project are being trained on how to work in adverse conditions in space. Yulia Peresild plans to return to Earth on October 17 from a Soyuz capsule after shooting at the space station is complete.
