Suraj pe mangal bhari Review: Comedy bomb came on Diwali, Manoj Bajpayee’s avatar with Diljit-Fatima will stun

Bollywood’s sunrise was not happening in theaters for the past several months, as the coronavirus pandemic had weighed down both Mars and Shani in Bollywood’s horoscope. However, to overcome this, Abhishek Sharma’s film Sooraj Pe Mangal Bhari is going to release in theaters on 15th. The film has been released on OTT platforms on 13th.

90s movie story
The story of the film revolves around Mangal Rane i.e. Manoj Bajpai and Suraj i.e. Diljit Dosanjh living in Mumbai.
Actually Mangal Rane is a marriage detective whose job is to spy on the groom and find faults in it. Mangal has so far broken 49 possible marriages, including one of Diljit Dosanjh i.e. Sooraj. Sooraj is angry with this and to take his revenge, he tries to trap Mangal’s sister Tulsi i.e. Fatima Sana Shaikh in his love trap. But Fatima Sana Shaikh has a different secret in the film, which you will come to know later in the story.

Abhishek Sharma’s work and inside the film
Barring superhit films like Tere Bin Laden and Atomic, the rest of his films could not please the critics much. But Sooraj Pe Mangal Bhari movie will make you feel satisfied. This simple movie will entertain you and will pass your entire time. The film does not let your mind get confused anywhere. Which is mostly seen in Bollywood movies nowadays. Abhishek Sharma’s direction is also good like his other films.

However, the music in the film is not that good. Editing should have been a little more sharp. The runtime of the movie is high, it should have been at least 20 minutes more. The climax in particular seems drawn out. You will also get to see the cinematography quite well. If you watch the film closely, you can see many shortcomings. But if you go after watching the film only like a film, then this film will be seen to give you peace. As the film is from the 90s, you should have seen black-yellow taxis, Fiat or Ambassador vehicles which were missing from the film. In one scene, Sooraj is seen playing the WWF card game with children, but you know this game did not come at that time.

character work
Fatima Sana Shaikh, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Manoj Pahwa, Seema Pahwa, Annu Kapoor and Vijay Raj have done a good job in the film. Manoj Bajpayee once again proved with his work that he can give his best in any role. Whereas Diljit Dosanjh is living up to the expectations of the audience in this film after his film Good Newwz in 2019. Supriya Pilgaonkar’s work in the film is also excellent. She is so bubbly that she looks too young to play Manoj’s mother on screen. Fatima Sana Shaikh’s chemistry with Diljit Dosanjh seems to be working.

Overall, the film Sooraj Pe Mangal Bhari is a simple and fun film that you can watch comfortably and comfortably.
