New Delhi: Vinod Kumar Choudhary, computer operator at Jawaharlal Nehru University’s (JNU) School of Environmental Sciences (AAA), also runs an institute at home. He could have been a layman who taught the basics of computers to students and needy people. But few people would know that Vinod Chaudhary has 9 Guinness World Records to his name, out of which he has got eight for typing. Chaudhary has made a place in the record books for typing fast with nose, typing blindfold and typing with mouth stick. He made his first record in 2014.

“I have a record of typing with my nose, blindfolded and my mouth stick,” Chaudhary said. I set my first record for typing with my nose in 2014. I have other records like blindfolded, one hand typing, one finger typing and mouth stick typing. No one has broken my record. I break my own record and try to improve.

He said that my latest record is to touch a tennis ball using the hand 205 times in a minute. I was inspired to make such records in 2014 when I saw a man typing with his nose. I thought I could too. I started practicing and continued till I broke the record.

Vinod explained, ‘The record time for typing a prescribed 103 character text using my nose was about 46.3 seconds. When I typed with one hand, the time was about 6 seconds. When I typed blindfolded, that too took about 6 seconds. When I first typed with the mouth stick with no spaces, the time was about 18 seconds. I broke that record and the new record time is 7.01 seconds.
