100 feet high national flag dedicated to the nation at Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir
Srinagar: The Indian Army dedicated the 100-feet-high tricolor to the nation on Tuesday at the famous ski resort of Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir as part of the 75th Independence Day celebrations. Defense spokesman Col Amaron Mousavi said in Srinagar, “To celebrate 75 years of independence. As part of the celebrations, a 100-feet high national flag was dedicated to the nation in Gulmarg on Tuesday in a simple ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Army Commander, Northern Command, Lt Gen Y. Of. Joshi did it.
He said that this flag would become another center of attraction for the tourists at Gulmarg in Baramulla district. During the ceremony, the Army Commander said that this flag is a tribute to the countless Kashmiris who have made sacrifices while protecting the unity and integrity of the nation.

The spokesman said that Gulmarg was one of the places along the Line of Control where Pakistani troops had infiltrated in 1965 and that the intelligence of a young shepherd, Mohammad Din, and he immediately alerted the security forces to the Indian Army. The army had got a lot of help in defeating the nefarious designs of Pakistan. Col Mousavi said that Joshi also honored the families of soldiers who made sacrifices in the service of the nation.
