New Delhi: There is no substitute for hard work and it definitely pays off over a period of time. This has come true in the case of a farmer’s son from Sonepat, Haryana. He has got a life changing job. 22-year-old Avneesh Chhikara used to pay his BTech fees by giving home tuition and now he has got a job in Amazon at an annual package of Rs 67 lakhs.

Avneesh, a student of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST), Murthal in Sonepat, is the son of a farmer from Kraveri village. His father is also a driver. The achievement brought about by determination has really made her parents proud.
Talking to the media, she mentioned the challenges that she had to face in view of the limited resources of her family. According to the news of ‘India Times’, he said that there was a time when I did not have money to pay the university fees, but I somehow managed to pay the fees partially by paying tuition.

Avneesh also told that after engineering class he used to study for 10 hours a day. He had applied for an internship at Amazon during the pandemic at a monthly stipend of Rs 2.40 lakh. Impressed by her work during her internship, the American tech giant offered her a package of Rs 67 lakh per annum. After a year, this package can go up to Rs 1 crore.

Professor Anayat, Vice Chancellor, DCRUST, praised Avneesh and said that he is proud that a student of modest background has achieved this feat on the basis of his hard work. He also hoped that other students would take inspiration from Avneesh’s story and strive for more and more things.
