Mumbai: Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra has been arrested for his alleged involvement in making and publishing obscene content. Actress Somi Ali recently reacted to the whole matter and said that she does not make any assumptions against those who choose porn as their profession, as long as no one does sex trafficking or coercion.

In an interview to a news portal, Somi said that only the taboo of talking about sex or porn arouses more curiosity. Personally, the actress says that she does not judge people who choose porn as their profession, unless someone is hurt or sex trafficked. According to him, it is important that there is no coercion. Otherwise, whoever chooses to have sex is not his or her job. We have no right to judge anyone.

Elaborating further, the actress also said that the time has come for us to give importance to sex education in the country. She talked about the intimate or bold scenes on the web series and said that she considers it a cinematic and artistic progression. According to her, intimate love has no meaning without lovemaking, so there should be rules for such scenes.

The actress said that this is a step forward and now is the time that in 2021 we should be able to create such art and talk about the normal state of having a sexual aspect in humans and be more realistic. The more inattentive our attitude toward something is, the more likely people are to hide it from the desire to admit what they like or dislike—like watching porn.

Somi Ali also said that she should stress that while she doesn’t judge anyone, it is absolutely unacceptable for her to harm an artiste working in an obscene undertaking.
