Mumbai. Dilip Kumar passed away on 7 July. Many Bollywood celebs are sharing many memories related to him even five days after his death. Director Rumi Jaffrey told that Dilip Kumar was surprised to know that many celebrities take money to go to the wedding.

In a conversation with the Times of India, Rumi Jaffrey said, ‘I remember one day he came to me and sat down on the sofa next to me. He asked me if there are reports in the media that film stars take money for going to the wedding. Is this true or is it a ploy to malign his image. On this I told him that it is true that actors charge money to attend a wedding.

Rumi Jaffrey further says, ‘I go to the wedding but do not charge any money. I only go to bless the married couple. I do not charge any money even for going to the opening of the showroom. When I come back from there, I only pray that the business of that fellow goes ahead, because I do not want anyone to blame me later that ‘his hands are wretched.’
