Gold/Silver Rate Today 16 June 2021 : Gold prices declined while silver rose. On Wednesday, gold fell by Rs 48 to Rs 47,814 per 10 grams in the Delhi bullion market. It had closed at Rs 47,862 on the previous trading day. On the other hand, the price of silver rose by Rs 340 to Rs 70,589 per kg. On the previous day, this silver had closed at Rs 70,249. The futures prices of both rose. In the international market, gold and silver prices remained unchanged at USD 1,859 an ounce and USD 27.78 an ounce, respectively.

Gold futures prices rise
Gold prices on Wednesday rose by Rs 123 to Rs 48,547 per 10 grams in the local futures market as speculators created fresh positions on firm spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in August rose by Rs 123, or 0.25%, to Rs 48,547 per 10 grams. It had a turnover of 10,699 lots. Market experts said buying of fresh positions by traders mainly led to the rise in gold futures prices. Internationally, gold rose 0.3% to $1,861.9 an ounce in New York.
Silver futures prices rise
Silver prices on Wednesday rose 0.58% to Rs 71,658 per kg in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions amid a firm trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver futures for delivery in July rose by Rs 410, or 0.58%, to Rs 71,658 per kg. The futures contract was traded for 10,786 lots. Internationally, silver rose 0.75% to $27.9 an ounce in New York.
