Mumbai: The rapidly changing world of TV serials has been very interesting to the audience for a long time. Sometimes a TV show is a hit, sometimes many TV serials also flop and sometimes it happens that the TV shows which were superhit in the first season along with the old actors of the same serial, the second season does not entice the audience and proves to be a flop.

Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2:

In 2018, Ekta Kapoor brought the love story of Anurag and Prerna back to the small screen. It featured Parth Samthaan as Anurag and Erica Fernandes as Prerna. Many old artists were revived which included names like Shubhavi Choksi, Uday Tikekar, Kanupriya Pandit, Kali Prasad Mukherjee, Pooja Banerjee, Sahil Anand, Garima Parihar, Aamna Sharif, Karan Patel. However, the story did not impress the audience much. The show ended on 3 October 2020.

Look 2:

Nazar starring Monalisa, Niyati Fatnani, Harsh Rajput was a huge hit serial among the masses. However, the second season starring Shruti Sharma and Sheezan Mohammed could not work as magic as the first season.

Sanjeevani 2:

The show was one of the most talked about TV shows in 2019. It featured Surbhi Chandna, Namit Khanna, Mohnish Behl, Gurdeep Kohli, Gaurav Chopra, Sayantani Ghosh, Rohit Roy and other popular faces. However, it seems that the audience liked the original version more. Within a few months, the second season of the show was over.

Brahmarakshas 2:

As far as TRP is concerned, the second season of Pearl V Puri and Nikki Sharma’s Brahmarakshas could not do much. It closed its shop within 5 months.

Extreme 2:

Beyhadh 2 was the spiritual successor to 2016’s Beyhadh starring Jennifer Winget, Kushal Tandon and Aneri Vajani. However, the second season starring Jenny, Shivin Narang, Ashish Chowdhary could not garner TRPs despite the buzz. It closed shop after the channel due to the COVID-19 pandemic and decided to shut it down.

JD Majethia brought Khichdi 2 back in 2018 as a weekend show. However, the public could not connect it as much as the first season.

Arhaan Behl and Pooja Gor were back in March this year for season two of Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya. However, the latest reports state that the show is going off air only a few months after the premiere. It is being said that Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2 has failed to garner good TRPs since its airing. It was said in a report that this news has come as a shock to the artists.
