7th pay commission : After the central government, the state governments have also started increasing the dearness allowance of their employees. After Rajasthan, Haryana, the Jharkhand government has decided to increase the dearness allowance of its employees from 17% to 28%. This increase will be applicable from July 1 this year. The Jharkhand cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday approved the proposal to increase dearness allowance.

Jharkhand government spokesperson said that in line with the recent decision of the central government in the cabinet, it was decided to increase the dearness allowance of the state employees from 17% to 28K. This decision will be effective from July 1 this year.

Similarly, with effect from January 1, 2016, the pensioners/family pensioners of the State Government were also approved to increase the rates of dearness relief from July 1, 2021.

On July 14, the central government had given gifts to 48.34 lakh employees and 65.26 lakh pensioners. Dearness Allowance (DA) was approved to be increased from 17% to 28%. This increase will be considered effective from July 1, 2021. After this increase, the Ashok Gehlot government of Rajasthan also increased on that day. After that Haryana also announced an increase.
