A special photo has surfaced from the Dampa Tiger Reserve in Mizoram. The picture was recently shared by Sanctuary Asia on Instagram. The post read: ‘You are viewing a historical image.’ This is a black and white photo of a forest area. But this is actually a historical photo in which a tiger has been seen.
The post states that this is the first photographic record of a tiger in seven years in Dampa Tiger Reserve. But you may not see it immediately. You have to look closely at the picture to see it.
Tiger confirmed
It has been told in the post that the camera trap that captured this picture was kept by a forest guard named Jakhuma Don. Don left the camera in the woods for three months and took it back in May. When he was looking at the pictures, he saw that the picture of a tiger has come in it. The post read, ‘Jakhuma installed the camera trap in February 2021 and took it back three months later in mid-May. While looking at the pictures, he found Tiger’s picture and sent it to the authorities for confirmation. The Endangered Species Management Department of the Wildlife Institute of India finally confirmed that Jakhuma had indeed captured a picture of a tiger in Dampa.
Tiger Reserve and its staff went through difficult times

According to the Post, the Tiger Reserve has faced several administrative issues over the years, including low and delayed salaries to ground staff.
