Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for Local Goes Global today (August 06). He said that this is not only the time to celebrate our independence in the 75th year of independence, but also an opportunity to build a clear vision and roadmap for future India. PM Modi interacted with the Heads of Indian Missions abroad and stakeholders from the country’s trade and commerce sector through video conferencing. The PM said that the world is getting smaller everyday due to technological and financial connectivity. The PM said that we have had trade links and trade routes with almost every part of the world. Today, even as we strive to regain that old stake in the global economy, the role of our exports remains important. At present our exports are around 20 percent of GDP. Considering the size of our economy, our potential, our manufacturing and service industry base, this has the potential to grow tremendously.

4 factors are very important to increase exports.

  2. Eliminate the problems of transportation, logistics.
  3. The government walked shoulder to shoulder with the exporters.
  4. International market for Indian products.

PM Modi said that 7 years ago we used to order mobile phones worth about $ 8 billion from outside. Now it has come down to $2 billion. 7 years ago, India used to export mobiles worth only $ 0.3 billion, now it has increased to more than $ 3 billion. India House, present in different countries, also become the representative of the manufacturing power of India. From time to time, if you keep on alerting and guiding the arrangements here in India, then its benefit will be in increasing exports. PM Modi said that this is the time for a new journey with new goals for Brand India.
