Mumbai: Raghubir Yadav’s divorce and alimony case is getting deeper day by day. The senior actor’s wife Purnima claims, as far as the amount of alimony is concerned, it is not possible between the two. The actor’s legal counsel says that Poornima is demanding an amount which is not possible to pay.

Talking about this in an interview, Purnima said that Raghubir has also constantly harassed her regarding maintenance and is not paying the amount on time. She adds, “Last year, there was a time where I was not paid for 5 months. I had to pay the price of this delay in the form of my house on Yari Road. I could not pay the rent on time and faced humiliation. After that I was living on debt. Also, I had to mortgage my gold. This year also, I went without payment for 4 months. Two months before the date in the court, I was given Rs 80,000 which was for 2 months.

When ETimes tried to contact Raghubir Yadav after hearing these things of Purnima, he did not pick up the phone and did not reply to the message. Please tell that Raghubir got separated from his wife in the year 1995.

Raghubir Yadav’s lawyer Shalini Devi told ETimes, “There is no point in making the fight between Raghubir and Poornima more ugly. Poornima is asking for a huge amount, otherwise my client would have resolved the matter by now. Raghubir is 71 years old and Poornima should be understood.

Purnima’s lawyer Ishika Tolani retorted saying that Raghubir Yadav is doing well in his career and it is absurd that he is not in a position to pay the amount demanded by Purnima. She says, “My client has to bear the brunt of living such a difficult life and Raghubir should pay as per his expectations. Poornima has brought up her son as both mother and father.

Tolani’s aide Toba Khan says, ‘Raghubir has left his wife and child. We also tried the mediation process but it did not work out. Raghubir’s divorced wife Poornima also said, ‘Raghubir has now blocked our son’s number on his phone too.’
