Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra has been arrested for allegedly making porn films. On Monday, the Mumbai Police arrested him and there are allegations that he used to produce these films and also broadcast them through some apps.

The Crime Branch arrested Kundra after a case was registered against 45-year-old Raj Kundra under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act, the Mumbai Police Commissioner said in a statement. He said that Kundra appears to be the main conspirator in the case.

He also said that, “In February 2021, a case was registered in Mumbai Crime Branch for making obscene films and broadcasting them through some apps. We have arrested Raj Kundra in this case on 19th July 2021 as he appears to be the main conspirator in this. We have enough evidence in this regard.

Raj Kundra was in controversies in the cricket world too

By the way, this is not the first time that Raj Kundra has come under the scanner of the police or any investigation. He was stigmatized in the world of cricket as well. The case pertains to the popular IPL 2013 betting and spot-fixing controversy, when the Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings teams were suspended for two years. When Rajasthan Royals came under the scanner and three of its cricketers were also caught by the police, the name of the team’s co-owner Raj Kundra also came to the fore.

He was accused of taking part in betting. When the Supreme Court set up an inquiry panel in 2015, Raj Kundra was banned from participating in all cricket-related activities. Later Raj Kundra had pleaded innocent in this case. By the way, when Raj Kundra and his wife had invested in the IPL team for the first time, there were also questions on how the money was raised for it.
