India’s best batsman Shreyas Iyer (Shreyas Iyer) He has been declared fully fit to return to competitive matches by the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and is set to play in the second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) starting September 19. Iyer will again join Delhi Capitals, who made it to the finals for the first time in 2020 under his leadership. Rishabh Pant captained the team in 2021 after his injury. Twenty-six-year-old Iyer has played 22 ODIs and 29 T20 Internationals for India so far. During the one-day match against England in Pune on 23 March, he had dislocated his shoulder, for which he had to undergo an operation in the UK. BCCI sources on condition of anonymity told PTI, “Yes, the NCA has given the fitness certificate to Shreyas.

Shreyas Iyer stayed at the NCA in Bangalore for a week and his fitness was assessed a few days back. After going through the medical and physical parameters, he is now ready to play in the matches.

With Iyer’s return, the Indian T20 team has more options in the middle order, but the Delhi Capitals’ management is now eyeing who they hand over the captaincy of the team in the IPL.
