Mumbai: The trailer of Farhan Akhtar’s Toofan, one of the most awaited films of this year, has been released by Amazon Prime Video. Amazon Prime Video’s Toofan in association with Excel Entertainment and ROMP Pictures is an inspirational sports drama story about a passionate boxing player, produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Apart from Farhan Akhtar, the film also stars Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pathak Kapoor, Hussain Dalal, Dr. Mohan Agashe, Darshan Kumar and Vijay Raj in lead roles.

The trailer of the movie Toofan gives a glimpse into the life journey of Ajju Bhai, a local goon who later turns into a professional boxer, Aziz Ali. ‘Toofan’ is a story that takes flight with the power of passion and stubbornness, where hope and inner strength are shown embedded within the character.

‘Toofan’ will also become the first film to premiere simultaneously in Hindi and English on Amazon Prime Video, starting July 16, 2021, in 240 countries and territories. Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has played the role of a famous coach in the film.

Talking about this, Farhan said, ‘It was really fun to sweat for the storm. No matter how strong one is physically, playing the role of a boxer is not easy! It took me 8 to 9 months of rigorous training to get into this character, after which I realized how physically, mentally and emotionally depressing this sport can be.

Veteran actor Paresh Rawal said about his experience and the film, “Every new project is exciting while looking challenging. Playing the role of a boxing coach was a new challenge and that’s what drives me as an actor. At its core, Toofan is a film focused on all the challenges that one must face without ever giving up.
