Veer Chopra, the elder brother of filmmaker-director Vidhu Vinod Chopra, has passed away. Veer Chopra was ill for some time, he passed away due to COVID-19. Veer Chopra worked with Vidhu in films like ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’, ‘Broken Horses’, ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’ and ‘3 Idiots’.
According to the information revealed, Veer Chopra died on July 5. Producer Veer Chopra got infected with the corona virus during his stay in Maldives. After 2 days of this, he came to Mumbai and he was given HN for 21 days. Was admitted to Reliance Hospital. Veer Chopra was kept in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). However, he died on the 5th evening and was cremated on 6 July.
Veer Chopra played the role of script doctor in filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s projects. Like during the scripting of ‘Parinda’, when Vidhu shared the first draft with Veer, he liked the first half, but did not like the second half. So acting on his suggestions, Vidhu changed the script and that made all the difference to the cult classic film.
