Ganguly hit century in debut test

Sourav Ganguly made his Test debut at the historic Lord’s ground. He scored a century in the debut test. India did not have a good start in the match and their first wicket fell on the score of just 25. Ganguly came out to bat at number three and played with patience. He played a historic innings of 131 runs in 301 balls with the help of 20 fours. India scored 429 runs in the first innings and Ganguly returned to the pavilion with a total score of 296. This test was a draw. However, Ganguly had made it clear from the first Test that he would stay for a long time, which also proved to be true.
