Akshay Kumar donates 1 crore rupees for a school in Kashmir, BSF names superstar’s father Akshay Kumar 1 crore rupees Donation for a Kashmir school named after Superstar Father

Mumbai: Akshay Kumar has repeatedly set an example by contributing to social work with his noble gestures. The superstar has been spreading awareness since the time the COVID-19 pandemic began. Now according to the latest reports, the actor has pledged to donate Rs 1 crore for the reconstruction of a school in Kashmir. Akshay Kumar was in Jammu and Kashmir on June 17, where he spent the entire day with the Border Security Force (BSF).

During this visit, Akshay noticed a school in poor condition, and expressed his desire to contribute Rs 1 crore towards its redevelopment. On 27 July, BSF shared pictures on its Twitter account stating that a foundation stone has been laid for this school. This education block has been named after Akshay’s father Late Hari Om Bhatia. Akshay Kumar also participated in the virtual ceremony of laying the foundation of the school.

BSF’s tweet read, ‘DG BSF Shri Rakesh Asthana along with Shri @AkshayKumar Padma Shri today through weblink in presence of Smt. Anu Asthana, President BWWA and Shri Surendra Panwar, SDG Western Command at Government Middle School, Neeru, Kashmir. Laid the foundation stone of Hari Om Bhatia Education Block.

Akshay had earlier tweeted, ‘Today was a memorable day with @bsf_india bravehearts guarding the borders. It is always a humbling experience to be here…meeting real heroes fills my heart with respect.

On the work front, Akshay has started shooting for Aanand L Rai’s next film Raksha Bandhan in June this year. Apart from this, he has Sooryavanshi, Bachchan Pandey, Bell Bottom, Atrangi Re and Ram Setu in the pipeline.
