According to the Bureau of Customs there, all these vehicles were smuggled into the Philippines in different ways, all these vehicles were confiscated between 2018 and 2020.

Questions are also being raised about this decision.

The value of the destroyed cars is estimated to be around Rs 9 crore in Indian currency, while the government’s decision raises questions as to why these luxury vehicles were not auctioned. These luxury cars have been destroyed following an order from the Philippines President, in which he called for destruction of such vehicles to send a strong message against smuggling.

At the same time, many people say that instead of ruining cars like this, the money from auctioning them should be used for the development of the country.
